Application in Drilling Fluid (Calcium-Treated Systems)
As a Filtration Control Additive, it exhibits excellent calcium tolerance, preventing excessive clay flocculation caused by calcium ions. This ensures the drilling fluid maintains optimal flocculation, stable solids content, and consistent rheology, thereby enhancing overall fluid performance.
It is highly effective in brine drilling fluids, seawater-based systems, and saturated saltwater fluids, demonstrating strong resistance to salt, calcium, and magnesium contamination. When used as a rheology modifier, it enables rapid viscosity adjustment at low dosages, promotes efficient drill cuttings removal, and helps maintain low solids content-contributing to improved drilling rates.
