Production description:
ME-9S High temperature retarder is highly hydrophilic and quickly dissolves in water. Its bicarboxylic acid group and sulfonate group react with tricalcium aluminate and tricalcium silicate through adsorption, chelation, dispersion, and wetting effects during the initial stage of cement hydration. This leads to the diffusion of a double electric layer that disperses cement particles, forming a solvation film on the surface of cement particles and calcium ions.
High temperature retarder exhibits a strong retarding effect by preferentially adsorbing onto tricalcium aluminate, thereby slowing down the hydration process. However, tricalcium silicate demonstrates weak adsorption properties, which ensures the later-stage development of cement strength.
Application:
• High temperature retarder is produced through the polymerization of sulfates, organic acids, and other substances.
• Recommended dosage range is between 0.1% and 1.0% (BWOC) of the total weight of cement.
• It performs well within the temperature range of 60°C to 180°C (BHCT) in well applications.
• When used in medium and deep wells, ME-9S effectively prolongs the thickening time and pump time, allowing for the formulation of a right-angle thickened cement slurry system.
Storage:
The high-temperature retarder should be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent packaging damage. The recommended shelf time is two years.
