There are three main additives in WBM SYSTEM: shale stabilizer ME-HIB, Polymer coating agent ME-CAP and bit-stuck free lubricant ME-LUB, are mainly used. WBM SYSTEM can provide good inhibition, lubricity, borehole purification ability and high mechanical drilling speed. Its non-toxicity makes drilling debris directly discharged from drilling operation, and drilling fluid can be recycled after drilling, which greatly reduces drilling cost. At present, the system has been successfully used in high-activity shale formation drilling and deep water drilling in sensitive areas.
