Low viscous polyanionic cellulose PAC-LV is on the basis of the CMC production process,through the improvement and optimization of production conditions,improve product substitution degree and the substitution distribution uniformity and synthesis of a kind of important water soluble modified cellulose derivatives.It has the similar molecular structure with CMC ,also is white powder with strong hygroscopicity and soluble in water to form a sticky solution.But compare with CMC,it has better temperature resistance better and salt resistance,It is an important and efficient material in drilling mud.It had been widely used as a fluid loss reducer and visicosifier in drilling fluid and completion fluid in oil and gas production.

Like other cellulose ethers, the preparation of polyanionic cellulose generally goes through two processes: alkalization and etherification.In the alkalization process, alkali metal hydroxides are often used in industry to interact with cellulose to destroy the hydrogen bonds in cellulose and reduce the crystallinity of cellulose.The channel is opened to promote the base reaction between alkali metal hydroxide and cellulose to form alkali cellulose with high reactivity, which is conducive to the subsequent etherification reaction.The structure and composition of alkali cellulose determine the degree and the effect of the etherification reaction .The degree and the effect of the etherification reaction has an important impact of application performance such as filtration resistance, salt resistance, temperature resistance, acid resistance and so on in drilling field.

By the continuous expansion of the petroleum exploration field ,the drilling depth is continuously increasing,under the complex formation and difficult drilling ,it is necessary to further improve the temperature resistance and the salt of Low viscous polyanionic cellulose PAC-LV to maintain stable rheological property and good water loss performance of drilling fluid.So we improved Low viscous polyanionic cellulose PAC-LV which have better salt resistance,calium resistance and high temperature resistance.
