Product Description
IDSPERSE XT is a high-performance Acrylic-Based Polymer Deflocculant formulated with an acrylic-based, low molecular weight polymer structure, engineered for water-based drilling fluids operating under extreme thermal conditions up to 400°F (204°C). This advanced thinner and deflocculant demonstrates exceptional tolerance to high temperatures, divalent cations (e.g., calcium, magnesium), salinity variations, and pH fluctuations, making it a versatile and reliable solution for challenging drilling environments. As a Acrylic-Based Polymer Deflocculant, it effectively reduces viscosity and gel strength while preventing high-temperature gelation, ensuring consistent rheological stability even in the presence of contaminants such as salt, gypsum, and cement.

Applications/Functions

Deflocculates water-based drilling fluids, including those contaminated with electrolytes;

Minimizes thermal flocculation and reduces shear strength development in high-temperature environments;

Maintains rheological stability in salt, gypsum, and cement-contaminated systems;

Prevents high-temperature gelation and enhances fluid pumpability;

Improves drilling efficiency by reducing hydraulic resistance and optimizing cuttings transport.

Advantages

Thermally stable up to 400°F (204°C), ensuring performance in extreme downhole conditions;

Readily soluble in water and easily integrated into agitated mud systems;

Effective at low concentrations (1–4 ppb), reducing operational costs;

Tolerant to salt and divalent ions, with no pH dependency for broad applicability;

Environmentally acceptable and compatible with other drilling fluid additives;

Replaces traditional thinners with higher cost-efficiency and performance.

Typical Properties

Appearance: Colorless to yellow viscous liquid

Specific Gravity: 1.10–1.25

pH: 4–8

Boiling Point: 180–212°F (82–100°C)

Solid Content: 45%

Recommended Treatment
A typical dosage range of 1–4 ppb is recommended, though specific drilling conditions (e.g., temperature, contamination levels) may require adjustments. For optimal results, add this Acrylic-Based Polymer Deflocculant directly to agitated mud pits and ensure uniform dispersion. Pilot testing is advised to determine the ideal concentration for specific fluid formulations and downhole environments.
