Characteristic:
Triethanolamine is colorless to light yellow viscous liquid with a slight ammonia smell, easily soluble in water and ethanol. Alkaline, the pH value of the aqueous solution is about 10.5. Corrosion of copper, aluminum and their alloys. Liquid and vapor irritate skin and eyes. It can react with various acids to form esters and amide salts. The melting point is 18~21°C, and it can form a supercooled liquid when cooled. The relative density is about 1.12, the boiling point is 190~193℃ (5*133Pa), and it decomposes at about 335℃ under normal pressure. The vapor pressure is about 1.3Pa. The flash point is 185°C, and the autoignition temperature is 315°C.
Triethanolamine on the market include high-purity products with a purity of more than 99%, and products with content of 95%, 90%, 85% and other grades, generally containing water, diethanolamine, etc. The purity of the first-grade product is ≥98.5%, and the moisture content is ≤0.3%.
Utility:
(1) Triethanolamine is used to prepare surfactants, cutting oils, antifreeze, and in the metal processing industry, it can be used to prepare corrosion inhibitors to protect metal surfaces and prevent oxidation;
(3) The main raw material of cement grinding aid (accounting for about 15% of the total grinding aid formula). Adding grinding aid can increase cement output by 10%-20%;
(4) Directly add cement clinker to aid grinding (the proportion is about 1/10,000), and ball mill after mixing, not only can increase the cement output, but also increase the fineness, improve the quality label, and reduce energy consumption;
(5) Concrete superplasticizer raw materials;
(6) Concrete early strength agent raw material.
