Description:
ME-SMP sulfonated phenol formaldehyde resin is a cation exchange resin designed for extreme temperature drilling environments and salt-gypsum formation to provide effective HPHT filtration control. The special molecular structure of ME-SMP features and highly sulfonated which deliver exceptional high temperature stability and super-hydrophilic property. This top-level product serves as primary filtration control agent for HPHT WBM. It performs well in all water-based drilling fluids and specially in saturated brine with thermal stable up to 400°F. In the extreme temperature field application, it is recommended to use this in combination with ME-SMP sulfonated lignite to obtain best performance.
