Description
This Extreme Pressure Lubricant for drilling fluids is a proprietary synthetic blend primarily comprising modified vegetable oils, extreme-pressure additives, and surfactants. It is manufactured under optimized modification and synthesis conditions. Unlike conventional lubricants, its molecules contain active elements that chemically react with metal surfaces under high load, forming a robust chemical film on friction surfaces. This significantly reduces frictional resistance without increasing fluid viscosity. The product is low-foaming and serves as an high-performance extreme pressure lubricant.
It is compatible with all water-based drilling fluids and invert oil/water emulsion systems. The extreme pressure lubricant effectively reduces wear on metal components in extended-reach and high-angle wells, decreases torque, and helps prevent stuck pipe.
Suitable for both conventional drilling and high lateral pressure horizontal applications, this lubricant reduces borehole friction without introducing hydrocarbons. It is non-hazardous to human health and environmentally safe. The formulation remains chemically stable under extreme downhole pressures and temperatures exceeding 149°C.
Recommended dosage: 1–3%.
