product description
It is a drilling fluid additive with many advantages and a wide range of functions. This product is a high-purity sulfonated asphalt product that is fully sulfonated by solvent method. FF-1 contains higher water-soluble components and certain oil-soluble components. Compared with ordinary modified asphalt, its molecular chain itself contains multiple adsorption groups, which can effectively block the surface of mud shale through electrical adsorption. It is not affected by formation temperature and asphalt softening point, has high efficiency, and has excellent plugging, anti-slumping and filter loss performance. It is suitable for various water-based drilling fluid and oil-based drilling fluid systems, and the general dosage is 1%-3%.

Performance characteristics
It can be well dispersed in various water-based drilling fluids, and can effectively inhibit the hydration of drill cuttings and stabilize the shear force of the drilling fluid;
It has good sealing effect and can improve the quality of mud cake to a great extent. It can withstand temperatures up to 200°C and effectively control high-temperature and high-pressure filtration loss;
Different from other sulfonated asphalt products, this product has high effective content and does not contain other additives;
It can effectively reduce the rotational torque and prevent the occurrence of complex underground situations such as sticking;
Can be used as a sealing agent in oil-based drilling fluids;
Conducive to the protection of oil and gas layers.
At present, most of the plugging agents for oil - based drilling fluids at home and abroad are composed of emulsified asphalt, oxidized asphalt, polymers, lignite resins, graphite spheres, etc. Most of these materials have no chemical activity and only have certain physical plugging effects. They are only effective for pores of a certain size. When there are heterogeneous pores and fractures, their effects are limited. In particular, these plugging agents are prone to aggregation in oil - based drilling fluids at high temperatures, thus failing to effectively plug.
