Barium Sulfate Scale Remover ME-DPTA is a high-efficiency dissolver designed for the removal of barium and calcium compounds in scale form. It is particularly effective against barium, strontium, and calcium sulfate scales deposited during oil- or water-based drilling operations. This Barium Sulfate Scale Remover reacts more rapidly in warm environments (>40°C) but remains largely temperature-independent, achieving complete dissolution within 24 hours under elevated temperatures.

During the scale dissolution process, the Barium Sulfate Scale Remover does not damage the reservoir rock matrix and can effectively treat a radius of 2–5 meters. It exhibits extremely low corrosion rates-below 0.1 g/(m²·h)-on carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, and copper. As the formula contains no H⁺, Cl⁻, F⁻, S²⁻, SO₄²⁻, or PO₄³⁻, it prevents secondary pollution after treatment. Prior to application, a mixture of 10% ME-DPTA and 2% pre-flush solvent must be prepared and fully dissolved.
